Families

Here are the descriptions of the workshops we are currently offering geared specifically to families.  These workshops are designed to be a time to draw closer as a family and have fun, memory-building experiences as you learn practical, new skills together and enjoy fellowship with other families.

Our Family Workshops line-up includes:

Family Farmsteading:  the "Suburban Farmette" - a Beginner's Guide to Sustainable Living in Small Spaces

This practical, hands-on class will be a fun time of learning how any family can live

frugally and enjoy greater health through:

               - Growing organic vegetables, fruit and berries even if you only have a very small

yard (or even just a patio!)....

               -  Raising a backyard poultry flock for nutritionally superior eggs and meat....

               -  Exploring the versatility and adaptability of dairy goats as a practical source of

Omega 3 - rich milk for drinking and making farmstead cheeses....

               -  Introduction to bees, rabbits, composting, wormbeds, and more!....

               -  Ideas on how to use the excess products you produce to generate additional

                   family income....

               -  Discovering how the process of working together as a family to produce your

own food will draw your family closer together, pass on generational skills and
values, and spend time at a slower pace as you work with your hands in the fresh
                  air of God's creation
