Mother and Daughter Sewing Workshop

Join us at the Heritage Ministry Center for a Mother and Daughter Sewing Workshop! This two-day event will be a time of fellowship between mothers and daughters as they learn a valuable and beautiful homemaking skill together.

Attendees will be taught basic sewing skills by an accomplished seamstress, and will even have the opportunity to make a garment for their own use by the end of the class. Topics include using the sewing machine, cutting and fitting, buying proper fabrics, using a pattern, and finishing a garment.

The Mother and Daughter Sewing Workshop will be held at the Heritage Ministry Center on June 5-6, starting at 10:00 a.m. on Friday and running to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The class will begin with a field trip to Joann's to for the attendees to purchase their sewing supplies. A project will be completed by the end of the class; those attending may choose between a skirt, apron or culottes.  Attendees must bring their own sewing machine.

The cost will be $125 for a mother and a daughter, with $25 for each additional daughter. Individuals who would like to attend may do so for $75. Price includes all meals from Friday's lunch to Saturday's lunch, and on-site lodging.

Call or contact us for reservations and more details! We look forward to seeing you there!
